You have landed your crippled ship at the Atargis mining station. The platform was deserted and no one answered your radio calls. Now you are forced to enter the station and find a way to get off the asteroid. Hopefully whatever happened to the 200 personnel in the labyrinth of mines under the station won't happen to you too.

Xenomorph is a first person RPG. Like the Dungeon Master series everything happens in real time. You move around in 10 foot steps and can turn 90 degrees. You have two hands to fight and use items with, a belt and holster for quick access to weapons as well as an inventory for carrying things.

The objective of the game is to find parts to repair your ship. You must also find food and water for sustenance and guns, grenades and mines for self defense. Other items can help you during your mission such as environmental suits, security passes and a motion detector. Data disks found throughout the station will fill in the story.

Supplies, supplies! That's where your vocation lies. Unfortunately, while you're carrying out a routine delivery to a mining installation on Sirius B disastrous events occur to make you wish you hadn't taken this particular job. The main part of your ship judders out of Hyperspace on the approach to Sirius B but its detachable cargo pod decides not to follow. Luckily, your on-board CNS (Central Nervous System) remains calm and manages to thaw you out cryogenics are used extensively in the year 2134 and informs you of the situation before shutting itself down. After a couple of choruses of 'Freeze a jolly good fellow' you get down to flying half a ship to your destination. Three arduous days later you arrive at the Essen mining station on Sirius B. Amiga Format
Wasnt the film Aliens good? A lot of people in the software industry seem to think so, as more than a few games have been released based around James Camerons classic. The latest to appear is Xenomorph, which puts the player in the boots of the Captain of supply cruiser The Mombassa Oak on a trip to Atargatis in the Sirius system. Tales have been told of ships that have set out for Atargatis never to return, which does not bode well for your trip!

Xenomorph Introduction

Welcome to Xenomorph, a whole new world will open up before you when you take your first steps from your space ship.

To help you survive why not try out the game controls within the confines of your ship, the Mombassa Oak.

Once you are familiar with the game controls detailed in the intro section, seat back and read the Novella. The Novella contains a history of events leading up to your present position.

The sections on Equipment and Weapons are intended to be used as reference so why not leave those sections until you find objects with which you are unfamiliar.

Xenomorph is not just a game but a test of survival, your ultimate aim is to return to civilisation (ALIVE!).
